Ice Water Hash (Full Melt)

We’ve had a couple people ask for more information on Ice Water Hash (IWH).

Our IWH comes from a 7 minute first wash, and only includes 90u - 149u micron heads to ensure it melts to the best of the cultivars ability.

There’s no hiding imperfections when it comes to water hash. In order to release a full melt water hash product, cultivation has to be dialed in, harvest has to be gently handled, the extraction process must be extremely clean and gentle… And that’s after finding a pheno that dumps delicious hash. There’s a million things that cause hash to be low quality, which means good IWH takes time to perfect.

When purchasing water hash, you should always have a cooler readily available with ice packs inside. When you get home, store your water hash in the freezer. This ensures it stays the same freshness and consistency until you're ready to smoke it.

You can prep your water hash a few different ways when you’re ready to try it. If it's still in its powder form, we like to sprinkle some on parchment and flatten it using our fingers. From there, you can portion out the melt and smoke down a flag anytime! If the jar is already greased out, it’s better to bring the jar to room temperature and then just use a dabber as you would for rosin. The grease consistency is similar to a fresh press rosin.

Once you’ve got your hash on the dabber, it's time to heat up the nail. When smoking water hash, it’s very important to smoke it at the correct temperature. If you send it hot, it will taste like burnt plant matter… but if smoked correctly, it is the best flavor you can achieve according to our head of solventless. We recommend using a heat sensor (dabrite, etc) to achieve an exact temperature for dabbing. Our typical advice is to smoke water hash 60 to 70 degrees cooler than you would smoke rosin. So if you smoke your rosin at 550, you should smoke the water hash at 490.

Water Hash has a special place in our hearts for a few reasons. Our head of solventless says the effects from water hash are his favorite for the mix of a stoney flower high with a clean solventless high. Beyond the effects, we appreciate the love and talent required to pheno hunt, cultivate and process it properly. This is why many people consider water hash to be the epitome of Solventless Products - Rosin is great, but it really can’t compare to a cultivar that produces full melt hash.
