Rosin vs. Resin

Both have their time to shine, but what's the difference?

Rosin is extracted with water, pressure and heat. This makes it a solventless product. Whenever you see our product labeled "Single Source Solventless", that means you've got a soventless product grown and processed by TSR. All of our rosin is currently single source.

Resin is actually a part of the plant - we harvest resin for all our products. Hence why we use Resin in our name! We offer more than just Rosin concentrates and Resin is a blanket term. (So rosin is resin, but resin isn't always rosin!)

Our (and most) products labeled 'Resin' are extracted using hydrocarbons. All our Resin concentrates are collaborative efforts, being grown by TSR and processed by our talented extractor friends. Most of our Resin (and all our Rosin) is "live", which means we process a fresh frozen plant instead of curing it.

We utilize both options when crafting your concentrates to find the best results. By testing both, we can guarantee that you're getting the better flavor and we're getting yields that make it all viable. There’s no one right answer!
